Nucleic acid isolation and purification is one of the most technically challenging and labor-intensive procedures performed in any laboratory whether it is for biodefense, drug discovery, or diagnostics. Standardization of sample preparation is an ongoing issue in the field. Whatever technology is selected, success depends on a balanced combination of good experimental design, sample preparation, primer/probe design, amplification, detection, and analysis as well as the selection of equipment and reagents. New technical developments that improve the performance of nucleic acid amplification and detection, as well as practical examples of how these techniques are used, continues as the emphasis of Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s 15th Annual Nucleic Acid-Based Technologies meeting. Learn from savvy, seasoned researchers as they share their experiences with their latest technologies and cutting edge results.

Sessions Include:
  • Detection
  • Primers and Probes
  • Amplification and Standards
  • Applications: Enabling Diagnostics
  • Applications: Pathogens and Biothreats
