| Healthcare's learning resources have been designed to provide the fundamentals of the therapy area in a concise and user-friendly format. Our current learning resources include a number of therapeutic area guides and these will soon include on-line and CD-ROM-based learning materials.
Each PharmaEssentials guide is designed to provide an overview of a specific therapeutic area. Typical topics include epidemiology, aetiology, pathophysiology, patient presentation, diagnosis, patient management and issues surrounding clinical trial design. Specific learning objectives have been set for each guide as a whole and also for each chapter within the guide.
It is expected that the PharmaEssentials guides will be of interest to those new to a particular therapeutic area or those who want to refresh their knowledge of a specific area. A scientific background is not required as the reader is provided with a thorough grounding on the normal anatomy and physiology before specific details are discussed. A full glossary and list of abbreviations is included along with references for further study.
