Regeneron, AstraZeneca Sign $120M mAB Agreement

February 5, 2007--Regeneron Pharmaceuticals has granted AstraZeneca a non-exclusive license to use its VelocImmune technology for the discovery of human monoclonal antibodies. AstraZeneca will pay Regeneron $20 million up front and will make up to five additional annual payments of $20 million, subject to the ability to terminate the agreement after making the first three additional payments. AstraZeneca will also pay to Regeneron royalties on sales of any commercial products resulting from use of the VelocImmune technology.
